Megeve is an attractive village, built around a fine medieval church and carefully restored old buildings. It has an upmarket image with plenty of designer boutiques and smart restaurants.

The very extensive skiing area provides wide open slopes and many runs through pine forest. With over 30 altitude restaurants to choose from you can rest at lunch time in a stunning setting with magnificent views of Mont Blanc.

La Prairie is a comfortable 3 star hotel close to the village centre and only a short walk from the main lift.

Its 32 bedrooms are attractively decorated and have TV, telephone and en-suite facilities. Dinner will be taken at the 4 star Fer a Cheval which is across the street.

L'Hostellerie is a 2 star hotel providing good traditional chalet style accommodation. The proprietor is a master chef and his "restaurant gastronomique" has earned a double Logis de France rating.

All 12 rooms have en suite facilities, TV and telephone.

Le Weekend is a 16 bedroom, 2 star, chalet style hotel next door to L'Hostellerie where our clients have dinner.

The "5 Star" proprietress is a charming lady who speaks excellent English. The lounge has "exuberant Victoriana" style decor. All the rooms are well furnished, have en suite facilities and most have good views over the surrounding mountains.

L'Hostellerie and Le Weekend are close to the village centre and only a short level walk from the main chamois lift.
