Your Holiday

At Classic Ski we aim to give you a stress free holiday so that you can enjoy wonderful skiing in the company of friendly, like-minded people.

All the resorts, which are in the Haute Savoie region of France, have an excellent record of good snow and offer a wide range of skiing.

The quality hotels offer excellent facilities and are very close to the pistes and lifts. Most of our clients are aged between 45 and 75 (at present the record stands at 84 years!). A friendly, relaxed atmosphere is quickly built up within our resort groups.

At Classic Ski we take care of everything - equipment hire, ski passes, tuition, hotels, flights and transfers.

Transport

By travelling midweek or on Sundays the usual pressures and delays are avoided.

Flights are on scheduled routes to Geneva - departing UK between 07.00 and 08.30 arrivng back around 12.00 (5 day holidays return at 20.00). Although principally from Gatwick and Heathrow, we are able to offer direct flights from many regional airports.

You will be met by our instructors or a representative at Geneva who will accompany you to your hotel.

Transfers from Geneva to our resorts by minibus or coach normally take about 1½ hours.

Ski Lessons

Tuition groups are deliberately kept small - no more than 6 people are assigned to each instructor, the average is 4. All of Guy's team of local instructors are very experienced and speak excellent English.

Groups meet for five hours tuition/guiding each day* - times may vary from day to day according to the wishes and stamina of the party members. When accompanied by an instructor, skiers have priority on the lifts. All instructors carry two-way radios or mobile phones.

Clients are assured of being guided to the best skiing areas available. Powder skiing off-piste is offered when conditions are suitable.

For the more adventurous, extra activities, such as paragliding, snow scooter rides and ballooning can be arranged, and even helicopter flights and dog sledge rides at Flaine.

Your instructor can organise these at special discount rates.

* If, unusually, there is only one person at a particular level they will have 2 hours individual tuition.

Equipment

The holiday price includes the hire of good quality boots and skis. Your instructor will accompany you to help and advise on fitting. If you are bringing your own equipment, a deduction of £15 will be made for boots and £35 for skis.

Lift Passes

Normally, beginners in Flaine do not need a lift pass until 2 or 3 days into the holiday as the lifts on the nursery slopes are free.

To save time in the resort, other skiers are advised to pre-book a lift pass. We shall need a passport type photograph from you when you make your final payment.
